  • Broadway Green Alliance Director and Wolf PAC Alum, Molly Braverman, invited Wolf PAC to participate in this thrilling event. While we would of course want to bring all of Wolf PAC to Times Square, we were limited in the number of available spots and therefore, held auditions. 8th-12th grade performers from our 2022-2023 season were taught techniques for successful video auditions and submitted their material to Wolf PAC's artistic staff. As always, our Wolf PAC community blew us away! Over the course of only a few short days, we had the very difficult job of choosing only 15 participants to represent Wolf PAC fairly and accurately across a range of factors. The Broadway Green Alliance also requested we bring a few of our younger performers. Tasked with choosing just a few, our Directors decided to bring students who worked together in our fall production of Annie Jr. to perform a short selection from the show.

  • After settling on our performers, we assembled a lineup of beloved show tunes that speak to...or rather sing to themes of nature and beauty in the world around us, like "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz and "All Good Gifts" from the musical, Godspell. Plus, we chose a few songs that fit a little more creatively into the Earth Day theme, like "Corner of the Sky" from Pippin and "Don't Rain on My Parade" from Funny Girl. Additionally, we have the bonus of adding to the lineup "Tomorrow" and "Easy Street" both from Annie since event coordinators requested we include some of our younger performers.

Following auditions, setlists, and rehearsals, the stage is now set for Wolf PAC to ease on down the road to Times Square for a wonderful day of music as we join forces with the Broadway community to raise awareness for our planet.

“We are thrilled and honored to join the Broadway Green Alliance in celebrating and protecting our planet with this star-studded lineup in Times Square,” said Will Connell, Camp and Special Projects Director of Wolf Performing Arts Center.

“Our young performers are not only the future of theatre, but the future of the planet itself - and who better to share their talents and gifts than the ones who will inherit our planet and all of its stages?”
