When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small town, Ren is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new school.

But he’s not prepared for the strict rules and regulations town-wide, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher. Footloose is a dynamic musical that celebrates the wisdom in listening to young people while guiding them with love, kindness, and some dancing!

  • Auditions are held the week prior to the start of the program. All students will prepare and perform a song from the show for the directing team as well as learn a short dance. If needed, performers will be asked to come to an additional callback audition. Everyone who auditions for the musical is guaranteed a role; the specifics of casting will be explained at the first rehearsal.

  • Tuesday, January 21, 2025 & Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 5:30-8:30pm

  • Audition time slots are 1 hour

  • There is 1 cast for this performance

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30-8:30pm; First rehearsal is January 28; No rehearsal on 4/15 & 4/17

  • Monday, April 28-Wednesday, May 7 at Benchmark School, 2107 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063

  • Monday, May 5 & Tuesday, May 6 from 5-9pm at Benchmark School, 2107 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063

  • Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 7pm

    All performances are at Benchmark School, A. Palmer Performing Arts Center, 2107 N. Providence Road., Media, PA 19063, a spacious auditorium with a proscenium stage that seats over 400 and is air conditioned

  • • Approximately 60 actors in the cast

    • Full-length musical, approximately 1.5 hours long

    • Audition required

    • Rehearses two evenings a week, 6:30-8:30pm

    • Full performance enhanced with all technical elements (I.e. costumes, set, lights, etc.)

    • Performance location: Benchmark School, 2107 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063
