Coffeeshop Cabaret: Scenes and Songs offers students the opportunity to develop their repertoire as they focus on pieces that showcase both their musical and acting talents. Through one-on-one coaching, as well as small group work students will learn not only best practices for singing, but how to fully engage as a character in song and scene work. They will dive into script analysis, character building, and improvisation activities as they gain the tools to become well-rounded actors. The class will culminate in a Coffeehouse style performance of monologues, solo and group songs, and scenes.
